Waitlist for BBB

The Beryl Bender Birch class is now full. We are accepting names for the waitlist, and will only be able to let those students in on a space available basis.

Last Call for BBB

Beryl's workshop is less than a week away - Wednesday, April 5. There are very few spaces available, and we will be going to a waitlist shortly... so if you haven't signed up and are planning to attend - this is your last call. On April 5, during the Wednesday evening Ashtanga class slot, we will be offering a special treat. Kathy's first teacher, Beryl Bender Birch will be visiting Yoga Vermont and teaching a special 2 1/2 hour workshop from 6-8:30pm. We want to make this workshop available to as many people as possible, and open it to the regular Wednesday night Ashtanga crew at the studio, so we are going to hook everyone up with a fabulous rate for this evening workshop. The workshop will be two swipes or $25 (not $50 as it states in the brochure). Class will be held upstairs in Studio C - in lieu of the regular 5:40pm Primary Series Class. We ask if you are planning to attend and use your swipe card to pay that you register via the website, shoot us an email or give us a call. We will be filled to capacity, so you must pre-register.

VOTE

If you live in Burlington, you may be growing weary of the battling campaign signs that have sprouted all over... but please, tomorrow is a very important day for residents of Burlington, and (at Town Meetings and elections throughout Vermont for that matter) and we urge you to GET OUT AND VOTE. Candidate Hinda Miller is a familar face around the studio and has been very supportive of us for many years. She is a dear friend, an inspiration and will be a gift to this city. And, thanks to Burlington's adoption of the new and somewhat curious Instant Run-Off Voting we're happy to give an IRV thumbs up for Progressive Candidate Bob Kiss. Regardless of where you live or how you vote, please, make the effort. A few quick links:

Monday Monday

To beginners who might be getting frustrated with the last few weeks of overload on Monday at 5:40...please, don't give up. We encourage you to try some of the other classes on the schedule, and other nights. One fantastic option is Tuesday 6pm Vinyasa with Kara - she taught Ashtanga beginner for many years. It's upstairs in Studio C, a small class, plenty of room, plenty of individual instruction and Kara is fabulous. Go for Tuesday. You'll be amazed at what a difference a day makes. If you have any questions about which classes might be right for you, feel free to send us an email and ask. We're here to help.

Ghandharva Friday night

The Sunday Night Kirtan Group will be hosting a special live performance with Ghandharva at Yoga Vermont on this Friday evening, March 3, at 7:30pm (after Kathy's 5:40 Vinyasa Class). Ghandharva performs inspired instrumental pieces of music using an eclectic blend of international percussion instruments including the tabla, madol, balafon, doun doun, conga, djembe, berimbau, shekere, singing bowls and bells. They infuse the traditional music and rhythms of West Africa, East India, Brazil, and Cuba with the dynamics and attitude of Rock & Roll to create a refreshingly unique hybrid, meditative percussive sound. Lori Flammer who teaches the Universal Hatha Yoga Class Thursday nights at 6pm is coordinating the event, tickets are $10-15 at the door, cash only, goes directly to the band to cover expenses. Please check in with Lori if you have any questions - or just show up Friday night
