gdiapers

Sara is very excited about gdiapers - so we thought we'd pass it along to those of you with little kids in diapers. Flushable, compostable. Pretty cool.

Intervale Healthy City

The Intervale's Healthy City program wants your old yoga mat. Bring it in to the studio and we'll pass it along to them to help with the yoga class they offer to 25 teenagers over the summer on the farm or drop it by the Intervale office with a note to Aziza. The are also looking for volunteers to glean farm fields of their excess produce to feed those in need! Every Tuesday and Thursday from 1:30 to 3:30, July 6-August 29 and volunteers to help with the Healthy City Youth Program to help their farm garden grow. Farm Work Days: Every other Tuesday 9:00-11:00 AM or 11:00 AM-1:00 PM (2-4 hours). May 2, 16, 30; June 13, 27; July 11, 25; August 8, 22. Harvesting for the Burlington School Cafeterias, 8-10 or 10-12 (2-4 hours) Every Tuesday August 29-October 3. Coming up - Saturday, July 1 kicks off David Swenson's Ashtanga Primary Series Seven Day Teacher Training. Space is still available for anyone wanting to jump in at the last minute.
Also Saturday, 6:30-9:30pm Nico Jenkins leads a special class discussing the Hatha Yoga Pradipika.
Monday, July 3, Lisa Tidman begins a new group of Six Week Sessions for Post-Natal Moms and Babies, Toddlers and Kids.
Friday, July 7 begins David's Ashtanga Second Series Weekend Workshop. Space is still available.

Ashtanga Beginner Series

Six Week Ashtanga Beginner Session with Scott York starts tonight at 7:30pm. It's a nice small group and there is still plenty of space available for those who would like to attend. Class will be held next Tuesday (July 4) but students unable to attend may make up the session in another one of our six week sessions, an ongoing beginner classes or Scott's other classes. This summer, we also have drop in Ashtanga beginner classes on Monday at 5:40 and Wednesday at 7:30 at the regular class price.

This weekend at YVT

Big weekend at the studio - tonight begins the Seane Corn weekend workshop: Friday 6:30-8:30pm, Saturday 9-Noon and 3-5, Sunday 9-Noon. Saturday is Nico Jenkins Four Classics Seminar on Patanjali's Yoga Sutras from 6:30-9:30pm. Sunday afternoon from 2-4pm is Sabian's Birthday Party (at Kathy's House). Sunday evening is Kirtan from 7-9pm. All regular classes will be held as scheduled, but may be moved into the downstairs studios during the workshop hours. See you at the studio!

Birthday boy

Sunday Kirtan

Monthly Kirtan (Devotional Chanting) will be held this coming Sunday, June 25. It is a free event, open to everyone, held on the last Sunday of the month from 7:00-9:00pm in Studio B.

We apologize...

for the last few weeks non-posts. Liza and Nico have been off in Italy looking into planning a yoga retreat in Tuscany for Summer 2007... more on that as it develops. At the studio - the new schedule is in effect and summer workshops are about to begin. Coming up this Saturday, June 16 is I'll Yoga for You led by Jenny Sugar to support the Charlotte Children's Center where she works. Sunday, June 17 is Emily's Restorative Yoga Monthly Session in Studio C. Then we roll into our special summer workshops, with a handful of spaces still available in Seane Corn's Weekend Workshop June 23-25. Saturday, June 24 is Nico Jenkins special Saturday night Four Classic Texts workshop Patajanli's Yoga Sutras. We'll be meeting Saturday evening in Studio C from 6:30-9:30pm - everyone is welcome (students are asked to have read the Sutras to facilitate discussion) just 2 swipes of your class card or $20.
