V-day 2007

V-Day was born in 1998 as an outgrowth of Eve Ensler's award winning play, "The Vagina Monologues. V-Day is a global movement to stop violence women and girls. It proclaims Valentine's Day as V-Day until the violence stops. UVM is a part of the V-Day College Campaign which invites members of the college and university communities around the world to present benefit productions of The Vagina Monologues to raise awareness about violence issues as well as raise money for local beneficiaries working to end violence against women and girls. This year, Yoga Vermont Instructor Keri Lynn Johnson will be performing in the UVM performance on February 23-24. If you would like more information or tickets, Keri teaches at our downtown studio on Fridays at 6pm and Saturday and Sunday evenings at 5pm and would be happy to fill you in on the details and other related events up on campus.
